Trumpet's Jazz Club, Montclair, NJ, has been host over the years to many world famous musicians. Singer/composer/pianist "Piano Man" Larry Hunt will entertain there with his quartet on March 29. Larry grew up in Nutley and graduated from NHS. Since then (the 70's) he has performed in over 1000 venues around the world. His music is deeply influenced by the rich musical legacies of New Orleans and Brazil, and by many Jazz and Blues artists: Mose Allison, Horace Silver, Chet Baker, Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, James Booker, Ray Charles, and others. His 1996 Blues/Rock CD "Soul Survivor", which featured all original songs and a 7 man band, received excellent reviews internationally. He is presently recording a Jazz CD.
