Bellville's FBLA Win Big at Conference

Two seniors took second place making them eligible to compete in the FBLA's National Conference.

The Future Business Leaders of America, FBLA, of Bellville High School attended a State Leadership Conference, last month, where Bellville's students took home numerous awards.

Seniors Adriane Montemayor and Ana Villarule are now eligible to represent New Jersey in the FBLA National Leadership Conference during the summer in San Antonio, Texas.

Bellville High School FBLA advisors, business teachers Meryl Mendolla and Corey Woodring, brought the students to the conference on March 15 and 16 in East Brunswick, N.J., to compete with other FBLA members across the state.

Student winners include:

  • Adriane Montemayor and Ana Villaruel won second place Desktop Publishing.
  • Emily Rocha, Gabrielle D. Luna and Donald Rock took second place ing Battle of the Chapters.
  • Ali Hajihaidari, Rosemarrie leffe and Fiorella Rios placed thrid in Digital Video Production.
  • Adrian Pangilinan and Mihir Shah won fourth place in Business Presentation.
  • Victor Chilinquina and Luis Vasquez placed fifth in Mangement Information Systems.
  • Kamayla Fonseca won sixth place in Public Speaking I.
  • Marc Tabago took ninth place in Impromptu Speaking.

Over the last school year, Bellville High School's FBLA students have provided a Thanksgiving dinner to a family in need, donated presents to unprivileged children and assisted with Dr. Seuss Day in elementary schools.
