Flowerpot Thief Strikes In Nutley; Stole Plants, Too: Police

The thief grabbed four, big flowerpots filled with dirt and plants and put them in their vehicle. They were valued at $1,000, police said.

NUTLEY, NJ — Someone stole a bunch of large, expensive flowerpots last week – plants and dirt included, Nutley police said.

According to the Nutley Police Department, officers are investigating a theft that took place at the parking lot of a business on Centre Street on April 18.

Police said a “late model” SUV was seen pulling into the lot. The driver grabbed four, large flowerpots – each filled with dirt and plants – and put them in their vehicle. The thief then drove away, authorities said.
