Former Cancer Center Property To Become Mixed-Use Complex In Belleville

The Planning Board approves an application to create a 245-unit, 5,500 square foot building on Belleville and Franklin avenues.

If all goes according to plan, Belleville will soon see a new mixed-development complex where the former Garden State Cancer Center property used to operate.

During their Thursday meeting, the Belleville Planning Board approved an application to turn the property at Belleville and Franklin avenues into a three-story complex with 245 residential units and 5,500 square feet of retail space, including a Laundromat and convenience store.

According to NorthJersey.com, the property would have a nearly 500-foot frontage on Carpenter Street, where one point of ingress and egress to the site would potentially be located, at the cost of one or two parking spots.
