Free Treats In Belleville, Nutley On National Ice Cream Day 2019
Get free ice cream at events in Nutley and Belleville on July 19.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — As a nod to National Ice Cream Day on Friday, July 19, the Belleville Public Library and Belleville Historical Society (BHS) will hold an event with some seriously “Good Humor.”
According to a library event posting, Michael Perrone of the BHS will appear in costume as a nod to the history of Good Humor ice cream delivery drivers. He’ll be manning a restored cart at the library, 221 Washington Avenue from noon to 2 p.m.
And he’ll have some free ice cream for local residents with him, Perrone said.

To get free treats, all people need to do is show their Belleville Public Library cards. If they don’t have one, they can sign up on the spot, Perrone said.

Live in Nutley? Not a problem. Perrone said the Good Humor man and his trusty trike will also be showing up at the Kingsland Manor’s open house "Ice Cream Sunday" event on July 21 from 2 to 4 p.m.
National Ice Cream Day 2019 takes place across the country on Sunday, July 21.
