Nutley authorities are investigating a garbage truck crash that left two people injured, police say.
Nutley, NJ – Nutley authorities are investigating a garbage truck crash that left two people injured last week, police say.
According to the Nutley Police Department, the garbage truck lost control on Conover Avenue on July 5. The vehicle then crashed into a tree, a retaining wall and a street sign, leaving about 110 feet of skid marks in its wake before coming to a rest on a St. Mary’s place lawn, police said.
Part of the truck were ejected onto the sidewalk, damaging a nearby vehicle and striking a large boulder and lawn ornaments, police said.

Both occupants of the garbage truck sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment, police stated.
Authorities impounded the truck and the crash remains under investigation, police stated.
