Garbage Truck Spills Fluid, Causes ‘Contamination’: Nutley Police

A garbage truck spilled hydraulic fluid and caused "contamination" on Highfield Lane in Nutley last week, authorities said.

NUTLEY, NJ — A garbage truck spilled hydraulic fluid and caused “contamination” on Highfield Lane in Nutley last week, authorities said.

According to the Nutley Police Department, an “oil spill incident” took place on Dec. 8 involving a garbage truck. The incident “contaminated a private and public area.”

The fire department was able to contain the spill, Nutley police said. No additional information was immediately available.
