Grand Opening For Lidl In Belleville Will Have Gift Card Giveaway

BELLEVILLE, NJ — Supermarket chain Lidl is getting ready to launch a new store in Belleville as part of its ongoing expansion into New Jersey.

Lidl will hold a grand opening event for its new grocery store at 414 Main Street in Belleville at 7:40 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 18.

According to a news release, the first 100 customers will be presented with a special gift card ranging from $5 to $100 each. Shoppers can enter to win a $500 Lidl gift card and take advantage of “special giveaways.”

The Belleville store will operate Monday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Along with its other new store in Garwood, which will have a similar grand opening event on Wednesday, Aug. 11, Lidl now has 20 total locations in New Jersey.

“We welcome Lidl to Belleville with open arms, as we continually recruit top service businesses for the direct benefit of our residents,” Mayor Michael Melham said.

“Lidl has invested in our community by opening this grocery store and laying down roots,” Melham added. “We are excited to have the company as a corporate partner and wish Lidl the greatest of success as the latest business to serve the residents of Belleville and beyond.”
