Icy Road May Have Caused Nutley ‘Rollover Crash,’ Police Say

"While the cause of the crash is believed to be icy road conditions, it remains under investigation," Nutley police said.

NUTLEY, NJ — A "rollover" car crash in Nutley last week may have been caused by icy road conditions, police say.

According to the Nutley Police Department, a 2021 Jeep Wrangler crashed into several properties on High Street around 12:45 a.m. on Jan. 17.

“Upon arrival police found the vehicle on its side with possible entrapment. The driver who had been injured refused medical attention, while the passenger told police that she was unharmed. There was damage to several properties along High Street.”

“While the cause of the crash is believed to be icy road conditions, it remains under investigation,” Nutley police said Monday.

No summonses have been issued at this time, police said.
