BELLEVILLE, NJ — The following news release comes courtesy of the Belleville Historical Society. Find out how to post announcements or events to your local Patch site.

The Belleville Historical Society will host its annual July 4 morning ceremony at the old Belleville Dutch Reformed Church Cemetery on Friday, July 4 at 11 a.m.

Located at the corner of Main Street and Rutgers Street, the churchyard is the final resting place of 68 Revolutionary War soldiers. The 45-minute ceremony includes the reading of the names of the 68 patriots, a reading from the Declaration of Independence, a musket salute and a cannon salute.
