Juvenile Hits Woman With Rock In Local Park: Nutley Police

NUTLEY, NJ — A juvenile allegedly threw a rock at a woman who was pushing her 2-year-old granddaughter on a swing in a Nutley park last week, hitting her in the head and causing an injury, authorities recently announced.

The Nutley Police Department released the following details about the incident, which took place on April 8:

“Police responded to Nichols Park in response to a woman that had been struck by a stone. When police and EMS arrived, the woman reported she was pushing her 2-year-old granddaughter on a swing when she was struck in the head by a stone thrown by a juvenile.”

The woman suffered loss of blood and head injury, and was transported to a nearby hospital. She has since been released from the hospital, and the incident remains under investigation, authorities said.
