Knit Away: Nutley Library Now Lends Crochet Hooks, Knitting Needles

NUTLEY, NJ — It isn’t only for books, these days.

The Nutley Public Library recently announced that it is now lending out crochet hooks and knitting needles – just in time for the holiday season. Its “new and growing” collection may come in handy for local knitters who are about to embark on a new project, but who want to save some money on new tools.

Adult library card holders are able to check out up to four sets at a time for two weeks, with up to two renewals. The tools are kept at the back reference desk. People can call ahead to see what is available, but there are no holds.

The library is accepting donations of hooks and needles that are in good shape. Duplicates that they don't use in their collection will go into a swap box, where patrons are welcome to leave an item or take an item.
