As A Local Realtor/Business Owner I Have A Duty To The Community

some real estate agents have the wrong Idea right now, selling and buying homes are not at the top of everyones mind at the moment

For the last several weeks I have been watching the explosion of online media from realtors and brokers etc. "Buy with me" and "Sell With Me" and 'Virtual" is the new word flying around out there in the real estate market.

And many realtors and brokers have it wrong right now, there are not a lot of people out there thinking about their home search at the moment, people are losing jobs, businesses are struggling and they are not getting help from anyone.

My concern is having a community intact when this whole crisis has past, we are in the thick of it, I don't believe that we are out of the woods by any means yet, I am concerned about having a main Ave. like Franklin Ave. in Nutley with vacant storefronts up and down the center of town.

That to me is more important than trying to solicit listings or having my friends go out there and recommend me on social media channels, that to me is a classless act and a desperate way to solicit or even grow any business during this time.

If we don't have a community we will not have a town that is desirable, think community first then if you want pitch your business all day, and then you wonder why Realtors have get a bad reputation, we are going through an unprecedented time in Nutley and all over, but we have an obligation to be a good steward of our community as well.
