Man With Baseball Bat Busts Up Statue, Cars In Nutley: Police
The bat-man fled the scene in an "older model" vehicle, Nutley police said.
NUTLEY, NJ — A man with a baseball bat busted up a statue and damaged some cars on a street in Nutley last week, police announced Friday.
According to the Nutley Police Department, officers responded to Passaic Avenue and Chestnut Street on Sept. 30 after getting a call about a man causing damage to nearby property.
“Upon arrival, police were able to view the man walking with a bat via surveillance,” authorities said in a news release.

Nutley police said the man has a medium build and was wearing a black fleece and black shoes. He fled the scene in an older model Honda or Toyota.
The statue was valued at more than $1,500, authorities said.
