Man Had Brass Knuckles On NJ Transit Bus, Nutley Police Say

A Brooklyn resident was taken into custody after he allegedly got "aggressive" on a bus last week, Nutley police said.

NUTLEY, NJ — A New York resident was taken into custody after he allegedly got “aggressive” on a NJ Transit bus last week, Nutley police said.

The Nutley Police Department released the following statement about the incident, which took place on Dec. 12 on Franklin Avenue:

“An incident of threats was reported to headquarters from passengers on a NJ Transit bus traveling in Nutley from the Newark Light Rail. The threats were made in Newark, but the suspect continued to be aggressive during the ride. He was taken into custody for having brass knuckles on his person.”

The 29-year-old Brooklyn resident was charged with prohibited weapons, a 4th degree crime on summons, Nutley police said.
