Man Shot 'Multiple Times' At N.J. Hotel: Search For Shooter Underway

A man was shot multiple times outside of a hotel on a New Jersey highway, police said.
The shooting was reported just before 3 a.m. in front of the La Quinta on Lighting Way in Secaucus, police Captain Dennis Miller told nj.com.
The victim, whose age was not available, was seriously injured and was still in surgery at about 8 a.m at Hackensack University Hospital, according to nj.com.

The investigation is still very active but appears to be an isolated incident and not a random act of violence, police told nj.com.
The La Quinta Inn & Suites is considered an "alternative to Manhattan hotels," with the suites featuring two rooms including a bedroom and separate living room.
