Man Tries To Take $4K From Nutley Bank With Fake ID, Card: Cops
A NY man allegedly tried to withdraw $4,000 from a bank in Nutley with fake documents. He also tried the same scam in Rutherford, cops say.
NUTLEY, NJ — A New York resident accused of trying to withdraw $4,000 from a bank in Nutley with fake documents last week also tried the same scam in Rutherford, police said.
Using a fake driver’s license and credit card, Darren Pollard, 52, of New York, NY, attempted to make a fraudulent withdrawal at a local bank on Oct. 17, according to the Nutley Police Department.
Authorities didn't specify the location of the bank in an initial statement.

Police arrived on the scene and took Pollard into custody. He was charged with forgery, impersonation, fraudulent use of a credit card and possessing a fake driver’s license.
During the course of the investigation, Nutley officers learned Pollard had attempted the same crime in Rutherford, authorities said.

Rutherford police later took custody of Pollard, authorities stated.
