Mixed-Use Buildings With Housing Proposed In Belleville

One building would be located at 68 William Street/10-16 Greenwich Street. The other would be built at 187-189 Main Street.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — The Belleville Planning Board has three items on the agenda for their next meeting, including applications for two multi-story, mixed-use buildings with housing.

According to the board agenda, in addition to a minor subdivision and site plan approval on Cortlandt Street, there are two pending applications on the list for Thursday, Aug. 12:

  • PB-2102: 68 William Street/10-16 Greenwich Street (Block:8602, Lots: 15&18) Applicant, 74 William Street Belleville, LLC is proposing to demolish the existing buildings and construct a six-story mixed-use building with commercial on the ground floor and 40 residential units above.
  • PB-2106: 187-189 Main Street (Block: 9406, Lots: 11&12) Applicant, Floors For Less Corp., is proposing the construction of a four-story mixed-use structure with 855 square feet of commercial space and a residential lobby on the ground floor with 18 dwelling units above.
