MSG Varsity Seeks Teens for Talent Competition

So you think you can dance … or sing?

MSG Varsity is looking for the most talented singers and dancers in the tri-state area to compete in Season 2 of MSG Varsity’s Talent Show.

High school students from throughout Cablevision’s New Jersey, New York and Connecticut service area are eligible to submit auditions to www.msgvarsitytalentshow.com. Deadline is Jan. 6, 2012.

Competitors are sought in four categories: male and female vocalist, vocal ensemble and dance ensemble. A panel of experts will select eight acts in each category for a total of 32 acts which will compete on the show.

This year, MSG Varsity will also host a live audition for individual male and female vocalists on Saturday, Dec. 10, at SUNY College at Old Westbury in Old Westbury, N.Y. Live audition time will be first come, first serve, and times can be reserved by logging onto www.msgvarsitytalentshow.com. 

“The tri-state area is home to many talented high school students and we are thrilled to showcase some of the best on MSG Varsity’s Talent Show,” stated Theresa Chillianis, General Manager, MSG Varsity.

Viewers will have a chance each week to vote for their favorite performances. One Talent Show Champion will be named in each category. Jared Cotter, a 2007 American Idol semifinalist, will return as host.

Kaleidoscope, a group of five students from Cedar Grove High School—Alea Caporrino, Caitlin Flynn, Darrah Maffettone, Carly O'Hagan and Gabrielle San Roman—were  of MSG Varsity’s Talent Show.
