Newark Woman Hits Nutley Cop With Car, Drives Away: Police
A Newark woman hit a Nutley cop with her car then took off, police said.
NUTLEY, NJ — Police arrested a Newark woman after she allegedly hit a Nutley officer with her car and drove away earlier this month, authorities said.
According to the Nutley Police Department, the incident took place on July 6 when an officer approached a “suspicious” vehicle. The driver then took off, striking the cop, authorities said.
Nutley police began a vehicle chase but ended their pursuit without an arrest.

Authorities later identified the driver as Shanoa Glover, 30, of Newark. She was charged with Aggravated Assault, Obstruction and Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose.
Police also issued Glover motor vehicle summonses for Reckless Driving, Failure to Observe Traffic Control Device, Failure to Give Proper Signal, Speeding, Failure to Pull Over Emergency Vehicle, Failure to Keep Right, Improper Passing, Failure to Pass to Right, Failure to Yield Right of Way, Leaving Scene of Accident Involving Personal Injury, Failure to Report Accident, Operation of Motor Vehicle While in Possession of CDS, No Liability Insurance and Failure to Have Inspection.

Newark police later arrested Glover and transferred her to Nutley for processing. She was transported to the Essex County Correctional Facility, authorities said.
