How much municipal aid will Belleville and Nutley receive from the NJ Department of Transportation for 2016?

The NJDOT recently announced its 2016 municipal aid awards, which pay for road improvement projects such as resurfacing, rehabilitation or reconstruction and signalization.

Funds are appropriated by the NJ Legislature for municipalities in each county based on a formula contained in legislation, according to the NJDOT.

This year, Belleville will receive $259,885 for work to be done on Mt. Pleasant Avenue and Bernice Road.

Nutley will receive $245,000 for work to be done on Harrison Street.
