NJMVC Mobile Unit Will Visit Belleville: Renew License, Other Services

Other services that will be available include license plate surrenders, voter registration and adding veteran's designations to licenses.

BELLEVILLE, NJ — Are you a Belleville resident who needs to renew a driver’s license? An upcoming visit from the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission’s (NJMVC) “Agency-on-Wheels” mobile unit may save you some gas mileage – and time.

The NJMVC mobile unit will be at the Belleville Senior Center, 125 Franklin Avenue, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 3. Learn more here.

Here’s what to expect, according to an advisory from the township:

“This service will enable residents to complete driver license/registration renewals, obtain non-driver IDs, surrender license plates, add a veteran’s designation to a license, register to vote and make organ donation selections. This mobile unit will allow all residents in Belleville to take advantage of the services it offers without having to drive to the DMV.”

Anyone who wants to attend the event must register online here. Previous events have filled up quickly in Belleville and other nearby towns.

REAL ID customers will pick a time slot on the Google form. All other customers will be on a walk-up basis.

CDLs, exams, titles and out-of-state transfers are not performed at the mobile unit, town officials noted.
