Nutley-Belleville Columbus Day, Italian Heritage Parade Is Back
An annual Columbus Day and Italian Heritage parade will return to Nutley and Belleville on Oct. 8.
BELLEVILLE-NUTLEY, NJ — An annual Columbus Day and Italian Heritage parade will return to Nutley and Belleville for 2023.
According to a news release from Nutley Township, the parade will kick off at Belleville High School at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 8. The parade route will travel along Joralemon Street, turn at Franklin Avenue, and continue to the Nutley Park Oval.

“The 41st annual Nutley-Belleville Columbus Day and Italian Heritage Month commemorating Columbus' historic voyage to the New World will be celebrated Sunday, Oct. 8. This year’s Honorees include: Grand Marshal Awards recipients, Maria and Vincenzo DiPaolo; Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Elisabetta Calello; the Italian Heritage Award recipient, Nutley Italian Woman of the Year, Linda Monterosa; Nutley Italian Man of the Year, Daniel A. Carnicella; Renaissance Woman of the Year, Charla Macaluso; Dennis A. Genuario; Belleville Italian Woman of the Year, Frances H. Bacardi; Belleville Italian Man of the Year, Peter E. Caggiano; Renaissance Man of the Year, Eric J. Lavin; Business Leader, Renee Friscia Cahill,; and Community Excellence Award recipient, Matthew Tyahla.”
