Nutley Cops Arrest Car Burglar After Spotting Vehicle Lights: Police
Nutley police arrested an alleged car burglar after catching him in the act, authorities said.
NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley police arrested an alleged car burglar after catching him in the act last weekend, authorities announced Monday.
According to the Nutley Police Department, officers saw a car with its interior light on at Franklin Avenue and Sargent Street at 3:35 a.m. on Saturday. Here’s what happened when they approached the vehicle, authorities said:
“When officers approached, a suspect [later identified as Javon McFadden, 36, of Wayne] was in the process of burglarizing his second vehicle. Officers arrested McFadden and transported him to police headquarters, where he was processed and charged with burglary. He was later released on a summons with a mandatory court appearance.”
Saturday’s incident was the third “motor vehicle theft arrest” made by Nutley police officers in the past two weeks, authorities said.
