Nutley Cops Nab Armed Robbery Suspect
Man allegedly robbed the Delta Gas station on Franklin Avenue at knifepoint.

Nutley police arrested a local resident on Wednesday only minutes after he allegedly robbed a Delta Gas station on Franklin Avenue.
According to police, officers responded to a robbery in progress at the gas station around 10:15 a.m., but by the time police arrived on the scene the suspect had already fled.
An employee at the police station told police that he had just been robbed at knife point by a suspect that police later identified as Thomas Devingo, 57, of Nutley.

Police said that officers and detectives tracked Devingo to a nearby apartment, where they recovered a knife and proceeds from the robbery.
Devingo was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and robbery.
