Nutley Cops Respond To Bomb Threat At High School; Student Charged For ‘Hoax’
A student's "hoax" caused authorities to search Nutley High School with K-9 and bomb units, police say.

NUTLEY, NJ — Police charged a Nutley student with making false public alarms after a student’s “hoax” caused authorities to search Nutley High School with K-9 and bomb units on Sunday.
According to the Nutley Police Department, officers received information Sunday that there was a bomb threat made to the high school. School administrators, Nutley police, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Essex County Sheriff’s Office then responded and “worked together to ensure that there was no threat to anyone or the school.”
The police response included a K-9 unit and bomb techs, authorities stated.
