Nutley Cops Seeking Alleged Jewelry Thief

Police: The man robbed a $1,500, gold bracelet from a jewelry store on Franklin Avenue.

Nutley police are seeking a man who reportedly robbed a Franklin Avenue jewelry store on July 9.

According to store employees, the suspect – a man in his early 20s – asked to see a 14 karat yellow gold bracelet with three horizontal bands, valued at $1,500.

When the employee went to answer the phone, the suspect allegedly ran out of the store with the bracelet.

Police conducted a subsequent search of the area with negative results.

Store employees described the suspect as a white male with a tan complexion, wearing jean shorts, a blue shirt and a hat.
