As Nutley Cops Watch Downed Lines, Driver Hits Their Car: Police

A Passaic man allegedly hit a parked Nutley police car while officers were monitoring downed power lines, authorities said.

NUTLEY, NJ — A Passaic man allegedly hit a parked Nutley police car while officers were monitoring downed power lines earlier this month, authorities said.

According to the Nutley Police Department, officers were providing safety oversight on North Road on April 5 when a passing motorist hit their parked and illuminated vehicle.

Police arrested the driver, Ivan Guevara, 29, of Passaic, and charged him with Driving While Intoxicated and Reckless Driving. He was advised of a mandatory court date and released, authorities said.
