Nutley Cops Write Flurries Of Snow-Related Tickets After Blizzard
Nutley police officers issued a glut of citations for hazardous conditions in the wake of the recent snowstorm.

Nutley, NJ – Nutley police served several residents with snow-related summonses in the wake of a recent blizzard that dumped about two feet of snow in the municipality.
“Due to the blizzard conditions and travel restrictions put in place, police incidents/calls/reports concentrated on safety and welfare issues within the community between 1/23/16 and 1/24/16,” Nutley police announced last week.

- Jan. 25 - Hazardous Condition – Race Street – Officers followed up on a complaint of a vacant home which failed to have snow removed. The house had not been properly cleared of snow, including sidewalk, directly in front of home and steps leading to home. A township ordinance summons was issued to the home owner.
- Jan. 25 - Hazardous Condition – Kingsland Street – Response was made to a vacant home on a complaint of snow covered sidewalk. Upon arrival, officers observed the owner did not clean the snow off the sidewalk. Report was forwarded to code enforcement for follow up.
- Jan. 26 - Hazardous Condition – Highfield Lane – Township ordinance was issued due to un-shoveled sidewalk as observed by officers.
- Jan. 26 - Hazardous Condition – Bloomfield Avenue – Township ordinance was issued due to un-shoveled sidewalk as observed by officers.
- Jan. 26 - Hazardous Condition – Enclosure - Township ordinance was issued due to un-shoveled sidewalk as observed by officers.
- Jan. 27 - Hazardous Condition – East Passaic Avenue - Township ordinance was issued due to un-shoveled sidewalk as observed by officers.
- Jan. 27 - Hazardous Condition – Franklin Avenue - Township ordinance was issued due to un-shoveled sidewalk as observed by officers.
- Jan. 28 - Hazardous Condition – Highfield Lane - Township ordinance was issued due to unplowed sidewalk as observed by officers.
- Jan. 28 - Hazardous Condition – Povershon Road - Township ordinance was issued due to unplowed sidewalk as observed by officers.
- Jan. 28 - Hazardous Condition - Bloomfield Avenue - Township ordinance was issued due to unplowed sidewalk as observed by officers.
