NUTLEY, NJ — A “suspicious incident” involving a parked car in Nutley last month turned out to be a man suffering from a diabetic emergency, according to police.

On March 14, Nutley police officers responded to Washington Avenue after receiving a report about a vehicle parked in the middle of the road with its lights turned off. On arrival, officers found a man sitting in the driver seat of the car without the keys in the ignition, authorities said.

Police asked the man to step out of the car, at which time he told them that he was diabetic, authorities stated.
