Nutley Duo Return Home To Find Cops Waiting: Authorities
A pair of Nutley residents returned to their River Road home to find a leaky apartment and the cops waiting to arrest them, authorities say.

NUTLEY, NJ — A pair of Nutley residents got a surprise last week when they returned to their River Road home to find a leaky apartment and the cops waiting to arrest them, authorities say.
According to the Nutley Police Department, officers received a report about a water leakage emergency at a River Road complex on March 3. On arrival, officers conducting a welfare check entered one of the leaking apartments and found suspected marijuana inside.
Police then waited for the occupants of the apartment to return home. When the 22-year-old female and a 22-year-old male arrived the premises, officers placed them under arrest, authorities said.

The female resident was held on an outstanding warrant from Newark and released after posting bail, authorities said.
The male resident was charged with Possession of CDS, Possession With Intent To Distribute, Manufacture Or Dispense, and Possession With Intent To Distribute Controlled Dangerous Substance Near Or On School Property Used For School Purposes.

He was advised of a mandatory court date and released, police stated.
