Nutley Expands COVID Testing; Mayor Cites ‘Omicron Surge’
Nutley Mayor: "The current omicron surge has dramatically increased the demand for testing."
NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley Mayor Mauro Tucci announced Tuesday that the township will be expanding its COVID-19 testing schedule to four days a week. The testing, which will be held at the Parks and Recreation Building at 44 Park Avenue in Nutley, will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“The current omicron surge has dramatically increased the demand for testing,” Tucci said. “We looked into the possibility of adding testing dates and we were able to add an additional three days a week to our schedule. It is our top priority to protect the health and welfare of our residents and the people who work here.”
“We are doing all we can to help stop the spread of this terrible virus,” Tucci said.
