Nutley Family Wants Appraiser To Return Coin Collection: Police
The appraiser picked up the coins and emailed the family an appraisal. But they haven't returned the coins yet, police said.
NUTLEY, NJ — A Nutley family is trying to recover their coin collection after a visit from an appraiser, police recently announced.
Nutley police said a local family reported a theft by deception on April 30. The family was seeking to have their coin collection appraised, and had a businessperson who specializes in the process come to their home to pick up the coins.
The person sent their appraisal to the family via email, but hasn’t returned the coins yet, police said Friday.

Several attempts have been made to contact the appraiser, and a voicemail was left for them. But no answer was received and nobody has called back, police said.
No additional information was available in an initial police statement.
