Nutley First Responders Revive Man In Car With Narcan
Nutley police, firefighters and EMS workers cooperated and administered life-saving procedures to the man, authorities said.
NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley emergency responders revived a man with Narcan last week, authorities said.
According to the Nutley Police Department, officers responded to River Road on April 11 after getting a report about a man sleeping in a car.
The officers tried to wake the man, but couldn’t. They smashed the window when they saw he wasn’t breathing, then began life-saving procedures, authorities said.

Working with local firefighters and EMS workers, Officers Cayli Shaw, Antonio Sabilia and Vincent Delle Fave provided provide rescue breathing, deployed a defibrillator and administered two doses of Narcan to the man, reviving him, authorities said.
Emergency responders transported the man to a nearby hospital for further evaluation, police said.
