NUTLEY, NJ — The Glotzbach Field returfing project is approaching completion, Nutley town officials recently announced.

Last week, Nutley Commissioner Mauro Tucci announced that the project is “approaching completion.” Tucci said that “state-of-the-art turf” will soon replace the existing 11-year-old surface.

“The completion of this project truly gives residents a completely renovated sports complex incorporating Glotzback Field, Msgr. Owens Field as well as the Recreation Department Building,” Nutley municipal officials stated.

“The majority of the cost of the design, permitting and construction of the improvements for Father Gltozbach Park were supported by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Green Acres Program. The balance is covered by township capital funds and a low interest loan.”
