Nutley Home Burglarized, Suspect May Be Responsible For Other Thefts: Police
The same suspect who entered a Hay Avenue home may also be responsible for other crimes in Nutley, police say.

Nutley, NJ – Nutley police say that the suspect who allegedly entered a Hay Avenue home last month may be responsible for nine other vehicle thefts and two home burglaries in the township.
According to the Nutley Police Department, sometime between May 23 and 24, a suspect entered an unlocked window on the home’s first floor, burglarized the house and stole the victim’s car.
“This actor is believed to be responsible for nine other vehicles that were entered on Burnett, Grant, Washington and Hay, in addition to an attempted burglary to a home on Burnett, and a Burglary on Durant,” Nutley police stated in a release.

Nutley Police Chief Thomas Strumolo cautioned residents to be proactive and trim shrubs, light dimly lit areas at night, secure valuables in a safe place, and lock doors and windows in their home and vehicles.
