Nutley Homeowner Says $15K Of Jewelry Taken During Burglary: Police

A Nutley homeowner reported that someone stole about $15,000 of jewelry from their Church Street residence earlier this month, police say.

NUTLEY, NJ — A Nutley homeowner reported that someone stole about $15,000 of jewelry from their Church Street residence earlier this month, police say.

According to the Nutley Police Department, officers responded to the residence on Oct. 5 on a report of a burglary that happened sometime in the past. The homeowner told officers that someone forced entry into the rear of their home after breaking the glass window of the rear door.

A jewelry box containing about $15,000 worth of items was reportedly taken in the incident, police said.

Officers canvassed the area in an attempt to gather information about the alleged burglary and conducted an investigation, police stated.
