Nutley Landlord Enters Apartment, Finds Dead Body: Police

NUTLEY, NJ — When a Nutley resident entered an apartment on River Road last week, he was just planning to show a prospective tenant the digs. Instead, he found a deceased body, police say.

According to the Nutley Police Department, when the potential landlord opened the apartment door on Dec. 28, he came across a 37-year-old man who was unconscious and not breathing.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene and pronounced the man dead. The cause of death is under investigation by a medical examiner, police stated.
