Nutley Library Still Closed After Water Leak Causes ‘Extensive Damage’

The library will remain closed "until further notice," staff said.

NUTLEY, NJ — The Nutley Public Library remains closed as of Friday after a large water leak caused extensive damage in the building.

The leak took place Monday near the front desk, staff reported. The library will remain closed “until further notice.”

During the closure, patrons can pick up physical items at any of the other 78 libraries in the Bergen County Cooperative Library System (BCCLS). Items can also be returned at any BCCLS library.

The Nutley library’s outdoor drop box will remain open for returns, and its digital collections are still available. A password (PIN) is required for access, so patrons must set on their library account.

Nutley library patrons who have a reference question, want to renew a book, or can't access their digital materials can contact staff at library@nutleynj.org or 973-667-0405, ext. 2604.
