Nutley Pedestrian Breaks Driver’s Window During Argument: Police

Nutley police arrested a 42-year-old pedestrian after he allegedly broke a car's window during an argument with the driver.

NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley police arrested a 42-year-old pedestrian after he allegedly broke a car’s window during an argument with the driver last month, authorities say.

According to the Nutley Police Department, the argument took place when the vehicle stopped for pedestrians at a crosswalk on Franklin Avenue on June 24. At that time, one of the pedestrians got into an argument with the driver of the car and struck the side window, shattering it.

The pedestrian, a 42-year-old Nutley man, admitted that he broke the window, which was valued at $409, police said.

Authorities charged him with criminal mischief and released him on his own recognizance.
