Nutley Police: Car Towed Off Rail Tracks, U-Haul Collides With Pillar
Two motor vehicle accidents recently took place in Nutley on the same day, police said. Here's what happened.
NUTLEY, NJ — Two motor vehicle accidents recently took place in Nutley on the same day, one involving a U-Haul truck, and another involving a car that needed to be towed off a set of rail tracks, police said Friday.
According to the Nutley Police Department, the following incidents took place on Thursday.
'MISJUDGED THE TURN' – “A driver making a right on Kingsland Avenue misjudged the turn and ended on the rail tracks. The underside of the vehicle sustained carriage damage, and a tow truck needed to respond to pull the car off the tracks.”

U-HAUL COLLIDES WITH PILLAR – “Police called to East Centre Street took a report that a U-Haul truck collided with a support pillar of building and left the scene. Police were able to identify the actor, who disputed the cost of $2,000 for repair. He was issued two summonses failure to report an accident and leaving the scene of one.”
