Nutley Police Celebrate Successful ‘Coffee With A Cop’ Event

NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley police officers celebrated a successful “Coffee with a Cop” event with the community last week, reaching out to their neighbors with a day of java and conversation.
According to police, the Nov. 14 event gave the community a chance to interact with Nutley officers in a casual setting with “no agenda or speeches.” Residents got to speak with local police and ask questions, voice concerns or simply get to know the officers better.
Nutley Police Director Alphonse Petracco and Chief Thomas Strumolo said the event – hosted by the Aromi Di Napoli family – was a big hit.

“Owners Pasquale, Maria and Nick Di Palma provided a wide variety of pastries and coffee to all those who attended,” police said in a news release.
Strumolo said that although some Nutley residents shared concerns about speeding, parking and noise, the event was predominantly “light-hearted.”
