Nutley Police Don Pink Badges For Breast Cancer Awareness
Have you seen a Nutley police officer wearing a pink badge or ribbon? Here's why, officials say.

NUTLEY, NJ — Have you seen a Nutley police officer wearing a pink badge or ribbon? There’s a reason why, officials say.
The Nutley Police Department released the following statement on Friday:
“The Nutley Police Department proudly supports those with breast cancer and those working to find a cure. While breast cancer is predominantly diagnosed in women, with less than 1% of breast cancer occurring in males, men are also susceptible to developing the disease. Self-exams and awareness are essential in the early detection of breast cancer. The Nutley Police Department is doing their part to bring awareness and encourage everyone to play an active role. Officers display their support through purchasing pink, badges, ribbons and shirts in which all proceeds are donated to help find a cure.”
