Nutley Police Find Naked Clifton Man Clutching Traffic Barrel

Nutley officers found the man holding an orange traffic barrel. He was nude except for an ankle bracelet, police said.

NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley police arrested a Clifton man with an outstanding warrant after finding him naked and clutching an orange traffic barrel last week, authorities said.

According to the Nutley Police Department, officers received a report about a man with no clothes walking in the area of Chestnut Street on July 9.

Arriving officers conducted a search and found a man holding onto the flashing light of a traffic barrel. He was completely nude, except for an ankle bracelet, police said.

The 30-year-old Clifton resident refused to answer questions. After learning he had an active warrant out of Essex County, police arrested him and transported him to headquarters. He was later taken to the Essex County Correctional Facility, police said.
