Nutley Police Say ‘Stay Vigilant’ After String Of Auto Burglaries
The vehicles were left unlocked, Nutley authorities said.

NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley authorities are advising local residents to “be vigilant with securing valuables and locking their vehicles” after a string of recent auto burglaries. The vehicles were left unlocked, police said.
According to a joint statement from Nutley Police Director Alphonse Petracco and Chief Thomas Strumolo:
“[On Thursday morning] Nutley police were called to investigate a string of auto burglaries, to several vehicles that were left unlocked. Affected areas extend from Passaic Ave, Satterthwaite, Rutgers, Edgewood, and North Road. At this time police are processing vehicles and increasing patrols.”
A Nutley police investigation continues. Anyone with information regarding the thefts can contact the Nutley Police Department at 973-284-4940.
