Nutley Police Still Probing Rollover Crash Involving Stolen Car

Two men fled the crash scene on foot, Nutley police said.

NUTLEY, NJ — A rollover crash involving a stolen vehicle recently took place in Nutley, police announced Monday.

The Nutley Police Department released a statement about the two-car crash, which took place at 8:42 a.m. on Friday on the southbound portion of Route 21:

“Officers on scene were informed that two males that were in the 2015 Kia reportedly fled from the scene on foot. The driver of the second vehicle a 2018 Honda was taken to an area hospital for evaluation. Police needed to shut down the highway for a period of time.”

Authorities later determined that the Kia had been stolen earlier out of Newark.

The crash remains under investigation, Nutley police said.
