Nutley Remembers 9/11: Candle Lighting, Ceremony Planned For 2024
Nutley will hold a 9/11 remembrance ceremony for 2024. Residents are being invited to display a lighted candle on their porches.
NUTLEY, NJ — Nutley will hold a 9/11 remembrance ceremony for 2024 to honor the victims of the September 11 attacks.
The town’s annual ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11 on the bay floor of the Nutley Fire Department, 228 Chestnut Street.
Residents are invited to join township officials, victim’s families, friends and clergy to remember those who perished that day. Among those lost were three Nutley residents: Lt. Robert Cirri, Frank LaLama, and Dorota Kopiscko.

CANDLE LIGHTING
In addition, Nutley residents are being invited to display a lighted candle (or electric candle) on their front porch between the hours of 8 and 10 p.m. on Sept. 11.
