Nutley Resident Burglarized While Moving From Apartment: Police

NUTLEY, NJ — Several items were recently stolen from a Nutley resident who was moving out of their apartment, authorities say.

The Nutley Police Department released the following details about the incident, which was reported on July 12:

“Officers responded to Chestnut Street on a report of a burglary. The resident stated they are in the process of moving out of their apartment. The resident stated they left the apartment with a majority of their property and left to go to their new residence, leaving their apartment door unsecured. The resident stated upon returning to collect the rest of their property, they observed multiple items missing.”

The detective bureau was notified of the investigation and responded to process the scene, police said.
