A Nutley resident thought they'd ordered an Apple MacBook Pro from Amazon. A re-sealed package arrived with a frustrating surprise instead.

NUTLEY, NJ — A Nutley resident who thought they’d ordered an Apple MacBook Pro from Amazon recently got a frustrating surprise when they opened a package to find a waffle maker, police say.

According to the Nutley Police Department, the incident was reported on July 6. A Hampton Place resident told officers that when the package that should have contained their new computer arrived, there was a Cuisinart waffle maker inside instead.

It appeared that one side of the packaging was opened and re-sealed using a different type of tape. The package was hand-delivered, police said.
