Nutley Resident Was Home During Possible Burglary Attempt: Police
The Nutley resident contacted officers after hearing a "loud bang, scuffling and the sound of window blinds crunching."

NUTLEY, NJ — A Nutley resident was almost burglarized while they were at home earlier this month; the would-be thief attempted to make their way inside via a bedroom window, police say.
According to the Nutley Police Department, the incident took place on Sept. 11 at a Park Avenue home. The resident contacted officers after hearing a “loud bang, scuffling and the sound of window blinds crunching” in a bedroom at the back of the house.
Nutley officers arrived at the home and cleared the scene, canvassing the area with negative results. Police later found the rear bedroom window open and the blinds raised. Several items that had been placed on the windowsill had been knocked onto the floor, and one item was knocked onto the ground outside the window, authorities said.
